The famous 'Barra Bar & Restaurant' - by day ..
The famous 'Barra Bar & Restaurant' - by night, the mozzie lights are on, the fans are whirring, and the mist sprays and trying to cool everything, and everyone, down - after all, at 7pm, it's still 35c!!
Ordering food was supposed to be easy, using the new computer system ... which never worked during our stay! Back to ordering at the bar ... with a few of the locals!!
... even the young 'ringers' practised their outback 'look'!!
A shared Caesar salad, chips and a glass or two of chilled wine was one of our favourite dinners ... or
Local caught baramundi fillets, chips and a glass or two of chilled Tassie sparkling was another favourite!
One afternoon, we were pleasantly surprised to find a 'thank you' gift from the manager - our 7 night stay was unusual apparently - normally 3 nights (which is about right!)
And so it was 'Boh-Boh' to Cooinda and off to Darwin, via the Adelaide River Croc Jumping Cruise!
